Paddleboarding is a great fitness activity that truly works out your whole body. You will improve balance, coordination, muscle strength (especially legs, arms and core) and it can also be a great cardio workout.
SUP is ideal for rehabilitation or general cross training, and learning how to ride a standup paddleboard can also serve as a valuable introduction to surfing.
We love to introduce new students to the world of paddleboarding – it opens so many doors and new possibilities and is truly an experience that can be enjoyed by everyone. We offer standup paddleboard lessons in several different locations around San Diego including: Encinitas, Solana Beach, Del Mar, and Carlsbad.

Lessons For Beginners
Beginner SUP lessons are intended for students who have never been on a standup paddleboard before or are uncertain about their SUP ability.
On a beginner stand up paddle lesson you will be guided through proper technique and spend two hours touring the calm waters of San Diego. In addition to learning generally skills you will experience the beauty of Southern California.
Beginner paddleboard lessons can be enjoyed by people of all ages, abilities, and fitness levels.
After you’ve learned the basic skills, an advanced lesson in the open waters of the ocean is the perfect next step!
You will learn skills for catching waves in addition to basic water safety and surf etiquette. Surfing on a standup paddleboard is a blast and particularly enjoyable for anyone with a passion for the water.
Surfing on a standup paddleboard is only available for students who are very comfortable on a SUP.
Paddleboarding is one of the best ways to explore the rivers and waterways around San Diego! River tours are great for couples, families and other groups.
Standup paddleboard river tours are a fun, relaxing way to get a whole new perspective on the San Diego scenery. Evening tours can even be capped off with a stop at a local bar for happy hour!
If you are looking for something a bit more energetic, river paddleboard tours can be turned into a great total body workout by simply picking up the pace.
